Rounds

Archery competitions can take a number of different round formats. This page describes some of these formats.

Indoors

Indoor rounds typically consist of a number of arrows at one distance. The table below details the number of arrows, the distance, size of the face and maximum possible score. Note that some rounds (such as the Worcester) may not be shot in ends of 6, or may be shot on different target faces.

Outdoors

Outdoor rounds are typically shot at a number of different distances, in decreasing order.

Metric

The table here indicates the number of dozens shot at each distance. The first two distances are shot on a 122cm face, and the rest on 80cm.

Imperial

The table here indicates the number of dozens shot at each distance. All distances are shot on a 122cm face, using 5-zone (colour or 9-7-5-3-1) scoring.
